NEW ZEALAND WINE DINNER
We are delighted to announce that Ryan Morgan of Craggy Range Winery, will be joining us to host a wine dinner at The Fox & Hounds, Barley. Chef patron, Brett Barnes, will be preparing a 5-course bespoke menu to compliment the incredible wines from this wonderful estate.
Craggy Range is a family owed winery established in 1998 in the shadow of the spectacular Te Muna Peak in one of New Zealands most loved wine growing areas Hawke’s Bay. Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from varies regions in New Zealand such as Martinborough, Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough.

1st Course:
Citrus-cured gurnard, smoked eel, spring onion, pineapple, basil
Heritage tomato tartare, spring onion, avocado, basil (vegetarian option)
Wine pairing: Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc
2nd Course:
Tempura courgette flower, goat’s curd, almond aioli, Manuka honey (v)
Wine pairing: Kidnappers Chardonnay
3rd Course:
Slow cooked pork cheek, pork skin crumble, champagne rhubarb
Pearl barley & morel risotto, pickled rhubarb (vegetarian option)
Wine pairing: Martinborough pinot noir
4th Course:
Crispy smoked lamb breast, wild garlic, merlot vinegar gel
Marinated, smoked beetroot, wild garlic, merlot vinegar gel (vegetarian option)
Wine pairing: Gimblett Gravels Syrah
5th Course:
Dark chocolate mousse, cinnamon French toast, tobacco syrup
Wine pairing: Sophia Red blend
The evening includes a
welcome drink, 5-course tasting menu & paired wines.
